Recombinant Human MCP-1 (CCL2)
Catalog Number: GMP-TL630
Gene Name Synonym: GDCF-2,HC11,HSMCR30,MCAF,MCP-1,MCP1,SCYA2,CMC-CF
Construction: A DNA sequence encoding the human MCP (NP_002973.1) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the C- terminus.
Source:Human
Expression Host: HEK293 cells
QC Testing Purity: <95 %, by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses
Endotoxin: <0.01 EU per μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Molecular Mass: The recombinant human MCP-1(CCL2) consists of 82 amino acids and predicts a
molecular mass of 9.5 KDa.
Formulation: Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4. 6 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Stability & Storage: Samples are stable for up to 24 months from date of receipt at 4 ℃. Samples are stable for 6-12 months at -20 ℃ after reconstitution. Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage.
Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Protein Description
The MCP proteins are members of the CC chemokine family and signals through CCR 2 and other CCR receptors except MCP-1. MCP proteins chemoattract and activate monocytes, T cells, basophils, NK cells and immature dendritic cells. The MCP family cross-reacts across species. Recombinant human MCP-1 is an 8.6 kDa protein containing 76 aminoa acid residues including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in the CC chemokines.
